Post #33 – On November 1, 2017 our brand new travel and lifestyle TAKE-KR magazine on all things Korean will see the light of day. As a content-driven professional consumer magazine for the large public, TAKE-KR will fulfill a pioneering role in being one of the first consumer magazines in the English language on lifestyle and travel to this truly remarkable Asian country, for the large public outside of Korea. The articles in TAKE-KR magazine will be supplemented with up-to-date information in our blog www.take-kr.com. The planning of a vacation to South Korea takes time and research. We would like to shine a light on the path to follow, and give all our readers a great deal of choices.
The first edition on November 1, 2017 includes articles on how to travel to the Winter Olympics on a budget. Pyeongchang Winter Olympics will be held in February 2018 and we hope to entice many to come join the fun. Also in this edition, we are highlighting the Seoul Subway System, one of the best in the world, while in the December issue we will showcase Incheon, Korea’s main airport, an airport of superlatives. November issue includes a lengthy article on K-Popping in Seoul, with details on all the major music labels in town, and related touristic places to visit; an article on PEACEMINUSONE, G-Dragon’s fashion label; while the December issue will take you to the UNESCO Geopark Cheongsong, among other places. Aside from Halluy-related news and information for the younger reader, and everyone else embracing this phenomenon, TAKE-KR will also focus on shopping, technology, arts and culture, historic places, natural wonders, and much more. When visiting South Korea, no matter what the initial drive might be, the traveler can dive into a multi-sensory experience of images, sounds, tastes and emotions.
Most travel and lifestyle magazines single out a specific demographic, by age or family income. TAKE-KR magazine is a window into a country of longevity, a country that idolizes youth and beauty, a country of hardships and amazing accomplishments. Out target demographic includes all the above: young people and people interested in staying young, rich and poor alike. We define as luxury the privilege of enjoying life independent of age and means, and hope that TAKE-KR magazine will provide this enrichment to many, even if they are not able to travel.
Although www.take-kr.com is heavily influenced by my love of South Korea, the aim of the TAKE-KR magazine is to publish unbiased travel and lifestyle-related articles that will deepen the reader’s appreciation of this country. Please join me in this journey.
